It's been a long time coming, and I'm proud to announce that Audioblog.com has launched a couple features that some folks may find to be useful.

First, a little history. We launched in May of 2004. Audioblogging by phone, by file upload, and by recording right in the browser. Post to all the major XMLRPC-enabled blog software and services. When October 2004 came around, and the reality of podcasting was heralded loud and clear at Gnomedex, we added support for podcasting-- first by enabling the download of the file, second by enabling customers to create as many RSS feeds as they like. When iTunes 4.9 came out with podcast support, we moved to support their extensions.

Shortly thereafter, in November, we flipped the video switch for uploading AVI files.

We've come a long way. Since then, our video service grew to include support for nearly every type of video file format and codec we could. This included AVI, MPEG(x), MOV, 3GP, and WMV. Now, you can send those videos to an RSS feed -or- publish the link under those dandy flash players you've seen.

And since we're announcing this during Macworld, please allow me to steal a line from Steve Jobs.

There is just one more thing...
We automatically convert your videos to an iPod-compatible Quicktime format. Perhaps there's a trend with 42 million of those little gizmos being sold so far?

There's still a seven day trial of the service. Give it a try and let us know what you think. And keep your eye on our price plans.... we think you'll be quite happy where we're going. And if you like some further teasers, I'll just say go wide, and keep those mobile phones ready. (Is movlog a word? Heh)

Thanks to everyone for your support. Now let's go out there and make some media--- for yourself, your company, or the world.
